The final weekend in September, we had the pleasure of spending Sunday with Chelsea's grandparents who were visiting from Kalispell, Mont. Grandma & Grandpa were able to see all their grandchildren currently in Nebraska on their visit and for us, it was nice to get together on Sunday.
Chelsea made lunch for the Grandma and Grandpa as well as Chelsea's Aunt and Uncle, Dena and Jay Nigh, and their three kids from Omaha. Chels made chicken tetrazzini and garlic bread and then the group played a new game called WhooNu?
It was nice to show Grandma and Grandpa as well as the Nigh's our new house as it was their first time visiting Lincoln since our move. They also had the pleasure of meeting Ace, who did very well with Chelsea's youngest cousin, Nathan, who is 4. Finally, it was great to show Grandma and Grandpa our new washer and dryer and couch and loveseat combo that we purchased with the money they have given Chelsea every year for her birthday growing up. Thanks again Grandma and Grandpa for helping us fill our first home!
Following lunch and games, everyone made their way to Omaha to have dinner at Dena and Jay's and to meet up with Ashlea and Ben who made their way there from Sioux City, Iowa. It was a fun gathering of extended family and Grandma was nice enough to bring some huckleberry jam for all the girls.
