Chelsea's Birthday Party/Carson in Town!

On Friday, October 12, we had several people over for a night to celebrate Chelsea's birthday but also to see close friend, Carson Stokebrand, who came back to Nebraska from New York.  It was a nice night and we built a fire, roasted marshmallows and made s'mores and enjoyed fellowship and catching up.  Chelsea had volleyball practice Friday after school, so Jon and friends waited around for a little while for her to come home, but they enjoyed themselves by playing with Ace after decorating the house for the party.

Benjy finally took it and tried using it as a toy, which worked!

It was nice to have a family member present for Chels.  :)

Carson stayed with us on Friday night and it was nice for Jon and him to catch up and they enjoyed watching a few episodes of Happy Endings as well.  Carson and Jon lived together for a year in college and have remained close friends.  Often, watching comedy shows and making each other laugh are in the cards when they are together.
