Over President's Day Weekend, our good family friends (the Greeks from MN) came down to Nebraska. John Maragos, his uncle, John Zahhos and two of his triplet daughters all stayed at our house in Lincoln while the third triplet, Nicki played in a club volleyball tournament in Omaha all weekend. We had a blast with everyone and wished the rest of the extended family could have come to Nebraska too!
Nicki's volleyball club, Northern Lights (out of the Twin Cities in MN), has been voted the top club volleyball program in the country the past two years. Nicki plays Libero (a defensive specialist that only plays back row but can play for multiple teammates) for her team.

Our sign we made before Nicki's first match. Nebraska Loves #30! Also, the Let's Go is in Vikings colors... :)

The superstar amongst some trees. On a good day, Nicki is 5'5... :)
Most of the crew except JZ. From L to R: John, Maria, Jon, Nicki, Chels and Dena

Serving her killer float serve.
Doing what she does best, passing.
The team loved the sign after we added everyone's name on it.
Rowdy fan section.
Posing for Volleyball USA Magazine. Jon was voted Mr. July.
After Nicki's team won their first two matches, we went to a local bar to get some appetizers before her third game of the day. The wings were pretty spicy and the salsa was great.
Following Nicki's team's last game of the day (which they went 3-0), we went to Mama's Pizza which is an Omaha Classic. The pizza was delicious. From L to R: Chels, JZ, JM, Maria and Dena

When we got back home to Lincoln, some of us stayed up late to play some dominos. It was Dena and Maria's first time playing and they did well and enjoyed it, we think. ;)
Jon put out seven different cereal choices the next morning and JM put a little of all of them in his cereal bowl.
Nicki waiting for her game to start with her coach.
Jon wanted to show off his jump serve for the Greeks. It was an ace, but only because no one was on the other side....
Nicki doing well passing it up on day two. Northern Lights 17 Black went 3-0 again.
Waiting in between games on the third and final day.
After a long weekend, the team ended up getting 2nd place only losing once in the championship to another 17 year olds team also from Northern Lights club.
